MicroBlog

With the current need to hurry in this fast paced world, it is not surprising that blogging has spun a new breed of updates. Say hello, stranger, to microblogging. Welcome to the SMS generation! Where updates are condensed to 140 characters or less. Where short messages are the new brand of cool. It is so cool, in fact, that the Internet has caught up with the craze.

Microblogging has been made immensely popular by twitter, which was launched in July 2006. Being hugely well-known, it is no wonder that popular social networks decided to follow the initiative and had in them “status updates” which in a way resemble micro-blogging. We have facebook and myspace doing this.

In 140 characters or less, you can tell the whole world about your current status, share a link, share photos, videos, and pretty much anything so as long as you type it in within the 140 character limit. You can even do this via your mobile phone; this is where microblog.mobi comes in. We'd like to update you on the different mobile platforms and software concerned with micrblogging. Please check back once in a while for updates.
